Imagine touring an old schoolhouse. Second graders were lucky to visit the first schoolhouse in Davie, Florida. It opened in 1918 and is now a museum. The students traveled back in time learning about pioneers. They also toured the school and viewed interesting artifacts.
Mrs. Landrin, teacher: “The students really enjoyed the Old Davie Schoolhouse. The children went into a classroom and observed some writings from a teacher that taught there many years ago.”
Mackenzie, student: “We visited a hut that had a bed, fridge, and iron. It was the best part because we experienced how people lived a long time ago.”
