Aftercare is a program for kids to attend after school when their parents are still at work. At HHE, aftercare students are placed into groups based on their grade levels. Ms. Chia is the aftercare supervisor and organizes activities and events for the students.

“The best part of aftercare is buying toys for the students, throwing parties, and planning in-house field trips,” Aftercare Supervisor Ms. Chia said.

On Fun Fridays, students eat pizza, ice cream, and popcorn. They also can play on the Xbox and watch movies.

“I like that every Friday we get to watch movies and have ice cream,” second grade student Roman said.

“Aftercare is a fun space where kids can be themselves, be creative, and unwind after a long day at school. I like the teamwork in aftercare and that even on busy days the kids get to have fun.”

HHE’s Aftercare has many clubs including Chess Club, Coin Club, and Drumline. There are also many activities such as making arts and crafts, building with Legos, gardening, and playing sports.

“My favorite part is going outside. I like when we play soccer,” kindergarten student Phoenix said.

With so many activities, students enjoy themselves after a busy week at school.
