Arenas (Di Benedetto) Family

Amy (Mom):

YEARS ATTENDED: Kindergarten – Fourth grade

SIBLINGS ATTENDED: Two brothers and one sister

STAFF MEMBERS: “I had Mrs. Kraus for half of fourth grade and Ms. Diener (now Mrs. Vidal) for second grade.”

FAVORITE MEMORY: “I loved the teachers and also playing kickball in third grade in Mr. Araiza’s class.”

CHILD AT HHE: Vino

OWN CHILD ATTENDING: “I am so happy. It brings me so much joy.”

Vino, kindergarten:

Di Benedetto (Schoen) Family

Jill (Mom):

YEARS ATTENDED: Kindergarten – Fifth grade

SIBLINGS ATTENDED: Three sisters

STAFF MEMBERS: “When I went here, Ms. Barecca was my art teacher. She is the reason that I am an artist.”

FAVORITE MEMORY: “Winning secretary of my class in 5th grade.”

CHILDREN AT HHE: Harper and Sebastian

OWN CHILDREN ATTENDING: “I love it. It makes me so happy.”

Harper, fourth grade:

THOUGHTS ON PARENTS ATTENDING HHE: “I feel good because I get to experience what they did here too.”

*Both parents of Harper and Sebastian attended HHE as kids.

Brittany (Mom):

YEARS ATTENDED: Kindergarten – Fifth grade

FAVORITE MEMORY: “Being in the fifth grade play, The Wizard of Oz”

OWN CHILD ATTENDING: “I love it and I am very excited. Layla’s grandmother also went here.”

CHILD AT HHE: Gabriella

OWN CHILD ATTENDING: “I love it because she gets to have the same fun experiences that I had.”

Gabriella, third grade:

THOUGHTS ON DAD ATTENDING HHE: “I feel safe because he was safe when he went here.”

Sanchez Family

Christian (Dad):

YEARS ATTENDED: Kindergarten – Fifth grade

STAFF MEMBERS: “Not only did I go to school here but I volunteered when I was in high school. I helped Ms. Barecca in Aftercare with art projects.“

FAVORITE MEMORY: “Field Day because I won first place in the long run.”

CHILDREN AT HHE: Savannah, Sierra, and Sawyer

OWN CHILDREN ATTENDING: “I love it because it brings back memories of when I was a kid here.”

Sierra, third grade:

THOUGHTS ON DAD ATTENDING HHE: “I feel good because if I don’t know where to go my dad tells me.”

HHE Students Become HHE Teachers

Mrs. Stella

YEARS ATTENDED: Kindergarten – 5th grade

FAVORITE MEMORY: “Playing the ukelele, dancing the May Pole, and going to Zoo Miami which is now Metro Zoo.”

OWN CHILDREN ATTENDING: “When I became a teacher my mom wanted me to work at HHE. She loved this school. I was proud to be a teacher where I was taught. When my children became students at HHE I was super excited. I told them all about my experiences here and how much they had to look forward to. HHE is a great place to learn!”

Mrs. Vidal

YEARS ATTENDED: Third grade

FAVORITE MEMORY: “I loved my teacher, Mrs. Pryor and loved going to P.E. with Coach Keith and climbing the rope.”

OWN CHILDREN ATTENDING: “I was so happy when my children were able to come to school at HHE. Being able to see them every day at the school I went to was really special. I cried when they left for middle school!”
