Hollywood Hills Elementary (HHE) School’s cafeteria was filled with parents and students eager to participate in this year’s literacy night hosted by their guest author, Debra Frasier. This event took place on January 29, 2020.

At this event, Debra Frasier taught students and parents how to create illustrations by using only scissors, paper, and glue.

“I will teach you exactly how I make my books and illustrations. You will leave Literacy Night knowing something you can use for the rest of your life,” Debra Frasier said.

“It’s my first time cutting out a dog because I’ve never done it before,” kindergarten student Archer Woody said.

Family nights at Hollywood Hills have become a tradition. This is the fourth Literacy Night hosted at HHE, organized by Mrs. Kraus.

“I think family nights are a great way to bring the community together.”
