An interview with HHE’s new guidance counselors

When did you start working at HHE?

“I started working at HHE in August of this year.”

How long have you been a guidance counselor?

“I have been a guidance counselor for eight years.”

What do you like about working at HHE?

“I like working with the students and going into the classrooms to do the social-emotional learning lessons.”

What is your favorite part of your job?

“My favorite part is talking with the students one-on-one.”

What is your favorite memory at HHE?

“My favorite memory is going into the classrooms and meeting all the students for the first time.”

Where are you from?

“I am from Pennsylvania.”

What is one fun fact about you?

“A fun fact is that I went on a missionary trip to the Dominican Republic.”

What is one positive message you want to say to all the students at HHE?

“Start every day before school thinking that it is going to be a good day so that you take away all of your stress and worries.”

When did you start working at HHE?

“This my first year here.”

How long have you been a guidance counselor?

“This is my second year as a guidance counselor.”

What does a guidance counselor do?

“We are a support to the teachers, to the staff, to the administration, and to the students in whatever way we can be.”

What is your favorite part of your job?

“My favorite part is being with the kids. I love being able to work with all ages and be around the kids everyday.”

What is your favorite memory at HHE?

“My favorite memory was the Halloween Parade. I loved how excited everyone got and when we all came together as a school for a big activity.”

Where are you from?

“I am from Indiana. I just moved to Florida in August.”

What is one fun fact about you?

“One fun fact is that I have actually lived in five states (Michigan, New York, Illinois, Indiana, and Florida).”

What is one positive message you want to say to all the students at HHE?

“Do your best and be who you are. Know that there is no set path that anyone has to take. You can be an individual and we will support you in any way that you choose to live your life, grow, and learn.“
