Fourth grade students at Hollywood Hills Elementary now have the opportunity to participate in Book Club. Lee, a fourth grade student in Ms. Weichhan’s class, wrote a letter to Principal Fossas explaining the reasons why a book club should be created at HHE. Before Book Club, there were few clubs for fourth graders to join. Lee started the club so fourth grade students could have a club. The sponsors for Book Club are reading support teacher Mrs. Dallas and Media Clerk Mrs. L. Gonzalez. Book Club gets kids excited to read. Let’s get reading!
“At Book Club, we read books and we talk about them,” Book Club founder Lee said. “We recommended books to each other and made movie posters/ comics for our recommendations. My favorite part of Book Club is being with my friends and seeing how much people enjoy books.”
