Meet the faces of HHE: Some of our “SUPERHERO” staff and students

Mrs. Rivera, Assistant Principal

What is your role at HHE?

“I observe teachers and students to see what kind of progress they’re making. I make sure that the school environment is safe. I also get to go and visit the classrooms and that’s my favorite part.”

How long have you been at HHE?

6 years

What is one fun fact about you?

“I like to go diving. One of the biggest treats is either seeing a moray or a shark.”

What is your role at HHE?

“My job is to help students find good books to read.  I believe there’s a book out there for everybody. I love working with the kids and adults here.”

How long have you been at HHE?

 15 years

What is one fun fact about you?

“I was born in Germany because my father was in the U.S. Army. My sons were both born in Spain because my husband was in the Air Force.”

Mrs. Rimpi, Paraprofessional

What is your role at HHE?

“I am a paraprofessional in the third, fourth, and fifth grade autism cluster. I help the kids stay on task, make sure they’re doing their work, and remind them to keep their masks on.”

How long have you been at HHE?

What is one fun fact about you?

“I love penguins, absolutely 

love them.”

Mrs. I. Forman, ESE Teacher

What is your role at HHE?

“I give support to students who need some extra help in reading, writing, and math. I work with students who need help with their social emotional skills and independent functioning.”

How long have you been at HHE?

What is one fun fact about you?

“I still love to play the Super Mario video game from back in the 80s.”

What is your favorite part of your job?

“My favorite part is getting to meet all of you and watch you blossom. It is wonderful to see you grow as a musician. I also get to see you for who you are and I really enjoy that.”

What is one fun fact about you?

“I’m a ‘glam-ma.’ I will not be a grandma or a granny. It’s a ‘glam-ma.’”

What is your favorite part of your job?

“My favorite part is being with kids who are truly excited to be at school. They come into the classroom with a giant smile on their face and they are so excited to learn.”

How long have you been at HHE?

 2 years

What is your favorite memory?

“My favorite memory has been all my students coming in face-to-face so that I could meet them in person.”

Mrs. M. Forman, Speech-Language Pathologist

What is your role at HHE?

“I evaluate students and then provide therapy in the areas of language, articulation, voice, and fluency. I love my job because I enjoy working with kids of all ages.”

What is one fun fact about you?

“I secretly love to embarrass my daughters by rolling down the windows and blasting music.”

What is your favorite part of your job?

“My favorite part is spending time with the students. I love seeing them get so excited about being at HHE.”

“Too many years to count :).”

What is your favorite memory?

“My favorite memories are attending all the fun activities including dance parties, Rock and Read, and Trunk or Treat.”

What is your favorite part of your job?

“My favorite part about my job is making sure the children have the nourishment each day and they get their meals. It is very comforting and rewarding.”

What is your favorite memory?

“My favorite memory was my interview process here with Mr. Fossas and Mrs. Rivera.”

What is your favorite part about being a student?

“I learn things like math, science, and reading. I have fun and HHE is a fun school. Math is my favorite subject. I like how Mrs. Lucas teaches it.”

What is your favorite memory?

“Field Day because me and my team worked together to win.”

What is your favorite part of your job?

“My favorite part is getting to meet all the new students and parents. It’s always very exciting to be the first impression they get of HHE.”

What is your favorite memory?

“Last year during the pandemic, we did a drive by for Mr. Fossas’s birthday and we got to throw water balloons at him.”

Mr. Robert, Assistant Supervisor/Custodian

What is your favorite part of your job?

“I am the assistant supervisor. I assist the custodians at night to make sure they do their work right.”

How long have you been at HHE?

19 years

What is your favorite memory?

“When I was supposed to go to another school, Mrs. Roberts, a former principal, told the school she would not let me go and that was my favorite memory.”
