Masked and scarier than ever: Trunk-or-Treat returns to HHE

In the first HHE event since the pandemic, students, teachers, and their families attended Trunk-or-Treat, an event where people go trick-or-treating at car trunks instead of houses. The event was on October 22 and over 20 cars were decorated, which were judged for a contest. An SUV decorated as a scary clown won. Candy was donated by the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), and families created boxes and decorated their cars to hand out the treats.

“I gave out candy and got candy. My favorite part was being at my trunk,” fourth-grade student Ella said. “My parents decorated our trunk and I also did. It was decorated as a ‘Scooby-Doo’ car. I dressed up as Daphne and my family dressed up as Shaggy, Velma, and Scooby-Doo.”
