Families in need received food for Thanksgiving from HHE students who donated items to the Harvest Drive. Student Council decorated food collection boxes for each class. Students from each grade brought items like canned soup, rice, and macaroni and cheese for Broward County families. The food drive was organized by HHE’s guidance counselors, Ms. Cesa and Ms. Potoczek. Food was collected from October 18 to November 5.
“The Harvest Drive is where we give Thanksgiving food to people who don’t have money to afford it,” fifth grade Student Council Vice President Rafael said. “Student Council made boxes so the students can donate food and put it in the boxes so we can give it to people for Thanksgiving.”
