
From February 28 to Seuss books and drew characters March 4, HHE students celebrated reading by spotlighting books written by Dr. Seuss. Students were encouraged to dress up for different spirit days including crazy hats and character costumes. Student council representatives “caught” students reading so that they could be entered in a raffle to win books. Literacy Coach Mrs. Kraus hosted Seusstactular Kraus in the House where she read Dr. with HHE students. The week ended with a dance party, glow sticks, and candy. HHE students had a lot of fun reading Dr. Seuss books and celebrating literacy.
“PTA did a wonderful job hosting Dr. Seuss Week. I loved seeing all the students participate in activities and celebrate reading,” Mrs. Kraus said. “It was so much fun reading Dr. Seuss books at Kraus in the House and on WHHE.”
